Open Letter for President Nolan Archibald

Dear President Archibald,

I can identify with your position, as I had a very similar responsibility myself not too long ago. Since then I have had a change of heart.

I deeply regret the actions of the Church in efforts to make Buckley Jeppson resign his membership from the Church. From my own experiences with the Church, I can testify that members engaging in morally questionable practices are seldom asked to leave in such a manner.

I understand the history of the Church and the doctrines which are taught at the moment. However, it is not clear to me how Buckley Jeppson is causing harm to anyone. I would like to see the whole Church change in this area. Which I do not know what the general leadership would decide about this issue, there must in any group be a Luther who can choose to see things in a different way and change the status quo. You and your brethren have the chance to do that. The only surety is that, if you do not, in a very short period of time, someone else will.
